I got a new TV recently and this is the exact thing that went through my head (including the ‘get off my lawn’ joke). I always go back to thinking about how fast technology is moving now. It seems like not that long ago when TVs were big heavy boxes with a fuzzy picture (didn’t seem fuzzy at the time, though) and phones were attached to the wall with a curly cord. Then I start to wonder what’s coming. New technology isn’t always in our best interest. When do we get to the point in society where we’ve gone over the cliff? Part of me thinks we’re already on the downward slope. We’re too addicted to the convenience that these fancy new technologies bring and it might be too late to turn it around. This is how my brain works… just from buying a new TV.
The Atlantean update…
Work is still ongoing on The Atlantean. I’m really excited to start doing more finished artwork, but in the meantime here’s another thumbnail from a scene in the book. The first glimpse of my vision for what Atlantis looked like (from a flashback)…
