You know that thing where old sitcoms used to introduce a new cute kid or something when the ratings start to dip to try to “shake things up”? So anyway, we have a new character in Change Log.

I’m kidding, I’ve actually been planning to do this for a while now. And we don’t have “ratings” but the numbers on this comic have been fine (although I wouldn’t complain if you share this newsletter with your friends).

Anyway, Ollie is based on our real-life dog Oliver. He’s a fun, crazy little dog and I thought a character based on him would be an interesting contrast with Miles. I sometimes walk the line of including things from real life to the point where friends and family will ask me if I’m ok. I appreciate the concern and some of it is inspired by life or things I read but most of the time it’s just stuff I make up for the strip. I’m not likely to include very many rough events from my life in here. This comic is meant to be fun and entertaining but if bad things happen to these characters, it’s probably not directly from my life. All that said, here’s a picture of Oliver:

Updates…

I’m making some progress on updates to the store. I’ll be adding more t-shirts and other fun stuff, if you want to support my comics, that’s the best way.

I’ve also been working a lot on my other comic and I’ll be dumping a bunch of info on that here soon with concepts and artwork.

Also, Substack has an app now (if you’re on iOS). I’ve been using it for some of the other newsletters that I follow it’s it’s pretty cool if you aren’t good at keeping up with your email inbox:
