A new Change Log comic about doing things for spite.
If you work for a social media company that is currently, maybe, possibly, being bought by a billionaire and you found this comic triggering… yeah that’s kinda the point. I don’t claim to be a comedian but I do write a comedy strip. Comedy is meant to offend people. It’s meant to mock the absurd things going on in the world, and I’m sorry, but that whole situation is absurd. Things have been really strange for about 10 years or so and I think a lot of comedians have allowed their politics to come before their chosen profession. They refuse to joke about things that are clearly ridiculous, whether it’s out of loyalty to their political tribe or fear of a mob coming after them. I think they’ve lost sight of what their job is. Comedy should make fun of all sides of the political spectrum. There are some who still put comedy first, though. To give credit to a few… Ricky Gervais, Dave Chapelle, and the greatest comedian of all time, the late Norm Macdonald. Man, I miss Norm.
Behind the Scenes
If you’ve ever been interested in seeing the process I go through to make a strip, I put a video on YouTube. Click the big image below to check it out:
